a deep reading of top 40 lyrics: "buy u a drank (shorty snappin)"

once again, here's a feature that may or may not stick, depending on the response i get (ahem ahem comments please my 20 friends from around the country). here's the video for and a portion of the lyrics to a song my middle school students like a lot, each stanza followed by a deep reading that supports the repeated airplay of this song, which inspires our youth to do great things with their lives:

"buy u a drank (shorty snappin)" by t-pain feat. yung joc

Baby Girl
Whats Your Name
Let Me Talk To You
Let Me Buy You A Drink
Im T-Pain, You Know Me
Konvict Music Have Every Boy Like Ohh Wee
I Know The Club Close At 3
Whats The Chance A You Rollin Wit Me
Back To The Crib
Show You How I Live
Lets Get Drunk Forget What We Did

deep reading: my daughter, who are you...really? let me nourish both your mind and body with my paternal teachings and breast milk i suckled from your mother's bosom. you know who i am...don't you? i may have a dark past, but ohh wee. our lives will be behind us soon, but you have a chance to be with me now in my, nay, our home and learn from me. let's become intoxicated with each other's presence and put it behind us like the future is all that's left to live.

Imma Buy You A Drank
Theen Imma Take You Home With Me
I Got Money In The Bank
Shawty Whachu Think Bout That
Find Me In The Grey Cadillac
We In The Bed Like
Ooh Ooh Ohh, Ooh Ooh
We In The Bed Like
Ooh Ooh Ooh, Ooh Ooh

deep reading: i will nourish you, then bring you closer to me. stability is key to our happiness together, and i can provide that as well. don't you agree? we can play peek-a-boo in my car. but i'm always coming home to you to rock you gently to sleep ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh. gently... to a precious and peaceful sleep...ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh.

quick good music cleanser (even though i dig the vocoder):

the best show of the year so far officially went down last night. !!! at the fine line brought every good memory i had of seeing them with a crowd of 15 in milwaukee when i was 17 without the feeling of intimidation of the lead singer yelling angrily, "dance or i will kill you! you have no reason not to! there is nobody here! do it you pansy!" even though there were dumb tables in the middle of a dance concert, i managed to let loose and never once have that "i love this band but when is this going to be over?" feeling that i have had all too often at shows in the past year or so. here are a couple songs from their amazing (but even better live) new album myth takes because i like forcing my music taste upon you.

--> !!! - "heart of hearts"
--> !!! - "all my heroes are weirdos"

hey, dude, chris. dude. you're deep reading seems like a weak bill maher routine where he explains rap to white people. in other words. NOT FUNNY. get back to the classics, i.e. show-casing your photography.

    this is,
    Sean.

p.s. come visit milwaukee, tell me ahead of time.
