What We're Google Readering: Let's Wrestle

Take a look on the sidebar below our Twitter feed. See the green stuff? That's the constantly updated feed of what Qualler and I are Google Readering, or our absolute favoritest stuffs from the depth of the Interwebs lately. But we thought we'd step it up a notch and introduce a new weekly-ish feature that highlights not only the stuff on that sidebar, but the totes faves of other Blogulator contributors. For today, it's just Qualler and yours truly, and more likely than not you'll see this on the weekends instead of during the week, but check back here to get a rundown of our favorite pop culture items elsewhere on the World Wide Web and kill some time Blogulator-style. What We're Google Readering this week...

Booooooom: This new Bat For Lashes video for "Sleep Alone" (from the brilliant new album Two Suns) is nonsensical, pretentious, and absolutely gorgeous. I cannot wait to see Natasha Khan and her band of art-school freaks tear the house down at the Varsity Theater this Friday. [Chris]

Cute Overload: OMFGBBQ You gotta love cute raggedy dawgs that offer up their teets to tiny widdle red pandas who are desperately in need of milk for their itsy bitsy mowfs!!! I think it's safe to say that if web sites could win Oscars, this site would sweep every category ever year. [Qualler]

Just As I Suspected: Blogulator friend and reader Katie re-blogs a terrifying discovery of the actors who played the two Petes from the illustrious childhood Nickelodeon favorite The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Turns out they're grown up selves are even more awkward (mostly just creepy) than their teenage selves. [Chris]

Magnificent Bastard: Brigitte might be blogging about this in her Pop Fashion column soon, but before it takes over the world, can we all just take a second to soak in and accept the fact that this puffy, pastichey, motley coat does, in fact, exist? And yes, it costs $1215. [Qualler]

Roger Ebert's Journal: Tons of fodder for your Nerdflix queue from a man I grew up idolizing, then despising, then feeling sorry for, and now fully respecting. He may love too many movies, but he sure does love the cinema, as evidenced by this - his two cents on the latest "Greatest Movies Ever" list, but this time from a source he admires. [Chris]

MintLife: And let's bring this party to a close with something more serious and complex than anything ever discussed before on The Blogulator, including the memorable debate on whether or not an Outkast opera was a good idea. A pictoral depiction of where all our federal tax dollars go! [Qualler]
