A Respite For Fake Trailers

Lady Amy is in Ireland this week and the next, so Qualler and I thought we'd take a respite from the usual actual "writing" that we do here and after Qualler posted the "Shining (Happy Version)" video clip, we'd just show you some more of our favorite fake trailers from the YouTubeiverse. They're totally bogus, they're amateurish, but gosh darn it, they're quite clever! Enjoy (if you're a major dweeb like us)...
"Scary Mary"
As a kind of opposite of that Shining trailer, Qualler finds this one. Can you imagine if Mary Poppins was recut as a horror movie? I mean c'mon, she's a creepy British lady in a poofy black dress that flies via umbrella and acts wayyyy too calm and collected for my tastes.
"Brokeback to the Future"
Yes most of these are old and have probably been blogged before elsewhere, but as Qualler put it in the 'ol Blogulator email chain, "it sounds like it will be stupid but it's tears-inducing hilarious and makes me re-love Brokeback Mountain/Back to the Future even more."
"Dirty Dancing directed by David Lynch" (Embedding Disabled)
And here's the first of my two totes faves, in which the nightmare surrealist auteur extraordinaire David Lynch directs his own version of the Patrick Swayze/Jennifer Grey classic Dirty Dancing. Dig the cool-as-a-cat creepster vibe!
"A Goofy Movie directed by David Lynch"
Okay so here they obviously just picked out the 2-3 parts from A Goofy Movie that were already Lynchian and added some intense Angelo Badalamenti soundtrack cues, but it still largely works. Especially the dynamic between Goofy and Pete.
