Brigitte's Fan Mail!

Hey blogosphere! It's that time of the year again. Time to get out the ol' stuffing recipes, the ol' turkey shaped cookie cutters, and to open up my long neglected bag of fan mail and open a few letters from my adoring fans.

Here's a good one: from Theresa, in Newport, CA. Theresa writes:

Dear Brigitte, Hi! First of all, I think you're great. But where have you been lately? We've missed you! Especially with the new season of 16 and Pregnant airing, my friends and I have been looking for your MTV posts, but you've been MIA. What's up?

Those are fair questions. Here's my response:

Dear Theresa, I appreciate your concern, but I gotta say, BACK OFF, B****! My private life is my private life. You know, you people have no scruples sometimes. It's like I give and I give and it's never enough for you. My God! But seriously--I've been busy and am falling behind on my T.V. shows lately. I haven't seen any of the new season of 16 and Pregnant, but I plan to spend my Thanksgiving break getting all caught up and giving you guys my own skewed view on each episode (which I know you crave). Though I've been missing new MTV reality dramas, I have been watching all the Friday Night Lights (or as I call it, FriNiLi) that I can get. I just started season three, and man, oh man, it's beautiful. So, to answer your question, Theresa, I've been around but busy and the rest is really none of your business, is it? I'll be back with MTV posts soon enough though, so maybe that will stop the incessant, nagging, even threatening emails I've been getting from disgruntled fans like yourself. Yours, Brigitte.

That was fun! Let's take a look at another one.

Ryan, from Denver, CO, writes:
Dear Brigitte, Hey! What's up, gurl? You are so great! How do you do it? Funny post after funny post...oh man, you are unstoppable! Speaking of Unstoppable, any plans to see the new flick? I hear it's gr8t! You rock my world, Ryan

And my response:
Dear Ryan, Thanks for the props, bro! I appreciate it. And yes, I have seen Unstoppable, and I have to say that the most unstoppable part of that movie are Denzel's eyes and knowing smiles. If you want a full review, though, check out Qualler's post.

Lovingly yours, Brigitte

Man, I'm so good at this! Another response down. Let's move on to the next one. Lily, from Portland, OR, writes:

Dear Brigitte, Are you keeping track of this season's America's Next Top Model? I haven't seen many posts on this season, so I was just wondering whether you were watching it. Keep up the great work! Lily

Dear Lily, OMFG GET OFF MY BACK WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME! No, I haven't been watching it, and no, I haven't been blogging it. OK? Are you happy? Is that what you want? I have been so absorbed in watching Tim Riggins and the gang play some Dillon Panther football that I haven't really had time for anything else. I thought I already made that clear. And to be honest, I've sort of lost my steam with ANTM...it doesn't really do it for me anymore. I know, I know, we never thought that this day would come, but it has. Tyra, it's been real. Call me if you ever decide to wear that fat suit out in public again. Best regards, Brigitte

That was lots of fun! I'd love to answer more, but I have some episodes of FriNiLi to watch. Tune in next week for a rundown of my favorite Thanksgiving films and television episodes! Here's a little preview: 90210 may be featured heavily in this upcoming post!!!!

Yay! My favorite part of reading Brigitte's Fan Mail column is that you just could NOT make this stuff up! Like Jay Leno's 'Headlines'!!

    Dear Brigitte,

When will you post a picture of the baby you and Mark will likely have in a few years time? Also, what will you do if that baby doesn't like dramatic television? You're the best!
